...which seems to mean that ICANN's rules and contract terms aren't being completely followed and enforced... I guess that's not surprising...

If that's the case, what about the conspiracy idea that in fact it wasn't just "snapped" by snapnames but more likely PUSHED to snapnames so to speak by NSI?
As snapnames belongs to VS and with all the wls thing coming and stuff - i wouldn't be surprised if the new whois shows something like registered til '07, [email protected], tel. 000-000-000.
We'll see...

How did you know about it at that moment ?
I thought it was transfer not deletion because I'm also having the same record as Whois-Search shown.
A lot of strong professionals might think same ... yes, unbelievable.

I don't believe that WLS has started.
Actually, I lost "notepc.com" a few days ago.

Could be true.
It's actually good "AD" of SnapNames.

Well if for a fact snapnames got it then it indeed could apply if it was registered with nsi before.

Indeed. But a bad "AD" for NSI, deleting a name before the expiry date ?

It expired back in September - just a normal delete..

I wouldn't read too much into it - Snap have picked up some excellent names in the past, this just happens to be another one. There have been a few excellent names dropping recently and Snap haven't got those, so what makes you think there's a pattern?!?

As Whois-Search shown already;

> Registrant:
> ...
> Domain Name: AD.NET

> Record expires on 25-Sep-2003.
> Record created on 26-Sep-1994.
> Database last updated on 14-Sep-2002 10:58:36 EDT.
(recorded in Sep 14.)

Anyway, the whois must be wrong at that moment.
So, it is bad "AD" for NSI.
