I am a little surprised you are allowed to reg names by your employer
Shouldn't you be taking care of your customers first ?
Isn't there a little "Conflict of interest " ?

I think I take care on clients, I let clients register first. And end of the day I reged one. I saw so many complains, and no good names available.

0/88 names today. WHAT THE HELL IS GOIN ON???
I heared that for day 2 and day 3 we still miss 5000 confirmations from the .es Registry. I do not think that today so much more will happen. They confirmed today by email that they are in delay.

ok, so if ALL the domains in my account show as sunrise still and you say chances are not good for us to actually get them, how will this multiple applications thing work? and if we don't get them when should we expect our refunds?

hi namewaiter, the game is not at the end. multiple applications normally first come first served, I dont know my self why there is a problem from side of the registry. About refunds you will be informed by email. Please give us a bit time to clarify all things.

What a scheme. Wouldn't you think they could set up a system that would just accept the first registration and avoid the submissions of multiple pre-reg requests that just seem to make the registrars money? So 1 guy gets the name and 200 other people end up paying a pre-reg "fee" and get nothing of value except a "credit" at some place on the other end of the planet. Sheesh

What I understand from the system, is that a domain will be confirmed by the registry, then the Registrar sends the payment over the API. If the Registry do not get the Payment confirmation, they send the confirmation to Registrar 2 in the qeue. Registrar has a couple of days for this I think.

But until now, I did not got the right person on the phone for this question to confirm how does is works exactly. We work with the system and getting names, but there are still some questions. Not all points are documented 100%. Hey its new!

I was a tad bored this evening so I did a few(!) whois checks on the ones I haven't got to date. Here are the results FYI:-

Of 162 pre reg I did not get

13 went to phase II applicants - existing rights & TM holders
(although some of these are a bit suspect - see gmail dot es)

37 went to landrush applicants of which

29 (78%) were regged by eurodns and

8 by other registrars - primarily Spanish.

The remaining 112 are still queued.

In light of this it would appear that Freddy has done very well for everyone - particularly for those who got their orders in early - and doesn't deserve some of the ball biting he has received. Some of his catches are excellent 3 letter words & Spanish keywords that most of us would be proud of. I only wish I had placed more orders with him when I had the chance.

Maybe some of his successful customers will post their thanks here?

I would guess that many of the queued names were phase II requests from savvy Spaniards who piled in at the last moment. I can't see the registry refusing many of these applications now, as the names would be generally be freely available anyway in the landrush.

I would say right now...especially now they are pretty busy with just getting names registered period.

So they are understandably a little behind.

it is already in your account. it is not automatic, and normally we have always to proove carefully the owner! Or someone want to loose names?
By the way, for the moment the priorities are in any case somewhere else!
All stuff is working hard on the landrush, I hope that middle of next week the situation normalize a bit.

all orders that come in since this morning are forwarded to the registry just in time.

Well I received any email from DD24 saying that I didn't get most of my names, however some of them are still at the pending status.. If I get these, I'll be more than happy :)
