johannez said:Hi,
We made a 48 hours coupon for dnforum users.
This means all users can buy .in domains with a $2 rebate.
This means .in can be registered for $17.95 and all the other .in extensions for 7.95
It's only valid for 48 hours. When checking out use the coupon code DNFORUM
With kind regards

Wot said:Hi,
Great extension, huge potential, English is by far the most used language in Internet India. I personally have sold just below $xxx, xxx of .co.in / .in names and have retained the majority of the top premium names here:
[mod] Please do not link to offsite sales pages here. [/mod]
There is only one direction the prices of these will go IN !!
BTW - I like Shop.co.in , it is becoming huge in India, online shopping.

Please edit your post and remove all the domains this is a discussion not a self advertising thread on showing doman names. Make a new one for that and i will be happy to spam your thread with over 150 .co.in / .in domains hehe

nice names on your list though, so i wish you the very best with them
Exactly...English is also the official academic language at the college, university and professional levels...and has been so for over two centuries.fredlucas said:This discussion around language has been quite interesting. I'll add my 2 cents:
- hindi and the other native languages are clearly the languages spoken by the masses
- however, English is used predominatly by the educated elite. The CIA factbook states it best: "English enjoys associate status but is the most important language for national, political, and commercial communication; Hindi is the national language and primary tongue of 30% of the people."
English is used throughout India. It is on billboards, in newspapers and even on street signs.

Anway, I'm curious if anyone has looked in to large scale domain transfers (100+ domains) to take advantage of lower pricing at different registrars? The registrars I ended up with after the namerush charge ~$18 and I'd love to reduce that for coming years. What fees are typically charged, and where should they be sent?

cooljeba said:the fact of matter is English is catching very fast in India. Ppl now like to talk in english rather than local language. The professional education is completely in English. This is where India has an upper hand when compared to China ( in IT sector). As far as I know more english domain is registered by Indians and what's funny is some domains are fusion of local language and english that leads to really cool names :cheeky:
..:: peace ::..
