That's pretty cool, I went the other way and regged the top 100 Hindi words.

I got some good ones but all in Hindi since it is the number one language of approx 85% of their population.
Use this if you wish to do the same.....

Afilias (yes they are behind it) opened this up to everyone b/c they know that the majority of registrations are going to come from outside of India (speculators/investors). All I care about is what's to the left of the .IN

Overall it's a very pretty extension and only two letters. This could be easily be a winner..... don't know about this other .co.in stuff though. I would leave that alone. I have registered about 20+ domains so far and still considering others.

Hi,

where did you read that? I'm pretty sure that the number of registered domains is not even close to 1 million yet.
The free registration has just started today and before that there were only about 10'000 names registered, so I would estimate that there are not more than 200'000 names registered by now.

Just regged some domains through GoodLuckDomains.in (including goodluck.in  ).

Did anyone notice that after submitting CC info, your CC number is displayed in plain text on the confirmation page -- without SSL encryption (http://www.goodluckdomain.in/cgi-bin/Registrar). Should we be concerned about this?

Looks to me like goodluck is not very secure - but the choice looks limited.

www.inregistry.in/accredited_registrars

I wonder why enom did not jump on this - as they are listed? - now noticed they mention they are coming soon.

Ordered another batch, and sure enough, even the form destination for the order is not secure. No SSL whatsoever.

If you go to https://www.goodluckdomain.in/ you get the default mod_ssl page ("Hey, it worked ! The SSL/TLS-aware Apache webserver was
successfully installed on this website.")

I was a little concerned myself. One of my attempted registrations was taken 4 minutes before i hit submit and they went ahead and charged me the full amount anyways. I'm not sure if it will refund the one that wasn't registered or not b/c it said $0 credit issued.
