I used to counter offer when I received offers of 100.00, with a much higher counter offer, The buyer usually responds with(are you crazy)(on drugs) etc
I no we can set minimum offer price pretty high problem with that is it is better(IMHO) to have listings that have had a lot of prior offers. So back to my original question is it rude to not respond?

No,

I get lowballed so many times, I dpn't have the time to respond to morons that offer me $50 for a domain like pz.com.

They are wasting enough of your time by forcing you back to Sedo to even read that crappy offer.

2 cents!

This question was recently asked on another forum, the same day that I got lowballed at $300 at Sedo on a great dictionary .com name. I responded, and they came back with a $50k offer. Hopefully escrow will be done this week and you can read about it next week at DnJournal.com :)

So yes... I do respond to low-ball offers.

Well that's a great story, hope all works out well.

But I am sure this is not the norm.

Lowball offers are often inquiries about the potential range of the seller's asking price. I was offered $200 for a domain that was sold a week later to the same person for more than 10 times that amount. So yes, I respond to lowball offers with a counter-offer.

Many times I got offers under $100 for domains which I will not sell even for $$$$ amounts. It does happen. At the same time I did this to sellers and was able to buy some really good domains for a bargain. That,s life. :-D

I always respond to offers.
The lower the offer (eg $60) the higher the counteroffer. :)

I always respond.
about 60% of the low ball offers are just that. The other 40% are as said above inquires, and I had the same think happen as radistar just last week.
I received an offer for 60 euro, and sold it for 1700 euro. I am sure i could have taken it higher, but I was tired of the back and forth logging in and counter offering.

On Sedo I always respond and counter with a much higher offer. In some cases get a response close to what I'm asking for and in a few instances they accept my counter offer.
It does get irritating sometimes, but I take that as being part of the business. If I hadn't responded I may never been able to sell the domain at the price I want. You just have to be firm on your asking price though.

Hello again,
Many people often start with low offers but raise them dramatically.

However, as pointed out in other threads, you can use the minimum offer function to limit this from happening. If you have any questions about pricing, please email us at [email protected]

Kind Regards,
