The whois for mobi names registered at dotster.com is starting to update.
I ordered a bunch of names there and it seems there is quite a bit of confusion still.
You can look in your "my billing " category of your dotster.com account and look at orders labeled "complete" to see names you have gotten.
JESports:
Some credit card companies were inundated with an influx of rapid fire .mobi domain charges. Consequently, several credit card companies put a "hold" on account holders. I experienced this when I pre-ordered 40 .mobi domains and my credit card company stopped approving the transactions after 12 .mobi domain had gone thru. I talked with my credit card company & dotster today and both are working to resolve the matter and push thru the transactions.
I was very happy with Dotster's results. I received some good catches (CellPhoneServices.mobi, CellPhoneRingtones.mobi, CellPhoneDownloads.mobi, etc)

Im very confused how the dotster system worked. I preregistered about $8,000 worth of domains many months ago, some of which i knew i wouldnt get .. but others had a chance at.
Firstly i got an email from dotster about 3 weeks ago that said I would not be getting some of the names. They listed all those names i wouldnt get and then i marked them off my prereg list.
Last week i got an email that said they had people that preregistered some of the other names on my list before i did .. and that i would not be getting those names. So i again marked those off my list, and was left with about 10 names that i should have got if Dotster was able to get them.
So this morning i received an email stating that i had billed for one name .. and it showed in my account. But none of the others did. I whois'd the rest of those names, and it appeared that Dotster did infact get 4 or 5 of the other ones left on my list.
Should i have not gotten those names as well, since i did not receive previous emails from dotster saying that others were ahead of me on the pre regs? If no one was ahead of me when they snapped the names, i should have gotten them.
Ok Mike, thanks for your info ... I take it you were somehow notified by Dotster or your credit card company of the problem?
Strange that they (.mobi) think that 'Creature' is a premium name and 'England' is not.
Hi JE,
If you go into your dotster.com account and go to "my billing" your orders should show.
There should be "complete orders" and "failed orders"
Any name in the "complete" order with an invoice number next to it is one that should be in your account.
Any name in the "failed orders" account that says "pending" is one that still needs to be paid for and will be yours after payment.
All the ones that say "failed" in both accounts are ones that you were beat on or were won by other registers etc.
Hope this helps and Good Luck!
C.T.
