For escrow only I would say escrow.com is the only way to go. To many slow and lowsy responses with Sedo to want to try them. And I asked Afternic a question about parking maybe 1 month ago. Still no response :undecided

Sometimes an employee makes a decision which is not in the best interest of the company which employs them. I've been in the same position where one of my employees makes a bad decision when working with a customer. Unfortunately this can't always be foreseen. When this happens (which is not often) we try and "do the right thing" and win the customer back. It seems as though this is what Afternic is doing. I respect thier attitude and willingness to admit the employees error in judgement and publicly apologize for their mistake.

I'm sorry to hear that. It could be an email problem. You can always PM me on this board. You can also call us, +1 (407) 880-3211. (Write that down; we just started real human phone support and the phone number is not published on our website yet.) You'll probably hear Chanel answer the phone and if she can't answer your question, she'll forward your call to someone else who can answer your question immediately. We're a service company; we understand that. Phone support hours are business hours East Coast USA - we're not big enough to hire in another time zone for that, yet. :)

I'm especially interested in answering any question you have on parking. Rather than just adding ourselves as yet another middle man in the ad business, I think we have created a unique value-add offering in this area.

BTW, if you ever don't receive excellent service from Afternic, just let me know with details so I can followup. I have never ignored such feedback and I usually find some way to reward those who help us in that way.

Give me SEDO any day over AfterNIC,

AfterNIC got back there reputation, only to lose it again, with some seriously dodgy goings on lately. People tend to forgive once but not a second time.

I have no problems with Sedo or Escrow.com. They are both reputable companies. The reputations of those two companies and Afternic are high enough we can all use them and be very relaxed. I don't know of any "seriously dodgy goings on" at any of these companies. It is a common problem on forums that we throw around serious words very casually. C'est la vie.

You have to admit that it wasnt that long ago these kind of problems were the topic on everyones lips.. however it did seem to die down for a while. This latest incident further highlights that all the rogue elements have not been eliminated from the walls of AfterNIC.. I am not one for deserting a sinking ship, but I have lost all faith and trust in AfterNIC.. and as you so bluntly said "Cest La Vie" which is the kind of attitude I have come to expect..

I could not have said it better myself. Thanks.

Nothing dodgy going on here. I don't want to downplay a mistake because we really do strive for perfection on these things. But in the end, it was simply a customer rep mistake that could have been corrected immediately by speaking to a supervisor (we're a 2-level org chart, so that is me or my brother).

Roger,

I respect that you are coming out and admitting this mistake which is admirable. Lets leave it at irreconcilable differences. No point me dragging the past up.. it wont do either of us any favours.

I truly wish your company every success. You have worked very hard for it, its just a shame that the minority destroy what you build.. I guess a lesson has been learned by all here.

I used that phrase to describe my attitude about loose talk on forums - meaning I'm not going to start on a crusade about that. However, I am on a mission to provide the best possible service I can to Afternic.com members. Hope that clears up what I meant with my rare use of the french language.

I have to honestly say I have only had VERY good and productive purchases and sales with afternic and everything has went flawlessly everytime. The the step by step closing process is easy and impossible to mistake for both parties involved. The only problem it seems is when the buyer and/or sellers dont adhere to the program or obviously have bad intentions to begin with and don't do their part and then of course we expect afternic to perform miracles on our behalf, this unprofessional human behaviour is sadly a fact of all business transactions and is something that unfortunately afternic doesnt have complete control over. Hope this makes sense. :)

proproject I respect you a lot plus support Afternic though you have to tell your staff workers to obey and give proper support for what you are paying them the salary for.

my 2 cents.
