It's almost that time again ladies and gentlemen. Best of luck to you all!

Pre-bidding has been slow thus far, but then again the pool of domains is thinner this week than ones past IMO.

They did well for you Zoobar. All the ones I had with them this week went elsewhere.

In at least one auction so all is not lost.

Jacksplat,
How come you refuse to answer my emails? Are you no longer interested? A simple email would clear up everything, please let me know!

picked up expediting(dot)ca today. not a drop. I am in mining country and expediting is a massive big $ sector. expediting + canada = 589,000 google results. was shocked it was just available. am going to develop a nice directory asap.

when you guys say you pick up 'on the drop', you mean just straight registering dropped domains that are available at 2PM EST? so it is possible to beat out the auction guys (pool etc)? does it happen at 2PM on the nose?

Cheers, fellow Canadians!

I got squash.ca and vanoe.ca...

Looks like both are misspellings... squash and canoe.. but should be good enough to attract some traffic.

vanoe is for sure... squash is not... squash is squash... as in the game, the vegetable, etc...

hmmm looks like I messed up on that one... I must be getting dyslexic... it is actually sqaush.ca D'oh! I should have known ...

What is the largest .ca sale ever, for one .ca domain?

Was it searching.ca for around 35k? Or was there another?

I know of an excellent 2-character .ca that was sold for greater than $100k in a private deal. I also think either game.ca or games.ca (can't remember which) was sold in a private deal a couple years back... don't know what it went for but owner was refusing offers in the 35k range prior to sale. I'm betting there's a handful of 6-figure single name purchases, we just don't hear about them publicly.

Jacksplat,

I've been actively involving myself in developement and the quest to squander up 175k for the domain i want. That said I've put up my .ca list to several and some with my parking stats. I've not gotten a single offer. I do earn enough in parking and developed sites to live off. The name I want to buy will exceed that by far and would sell almost all my domains to get it. I'd even sell some of my .com rev domains, but one thing I wont do is sell off half of my premiums, revenue, retirement names only to realize i couldnt get all the way there. If I'm going to sell off my names I wont do it halfway. There is no way I can replace some of these names at this point in the game. I'm lucky to have gotten into .ca before the hype began. I might just plop a house on a property I own and sell that asap.

Either way, I have too much on my plate now to put prices on my stuff. If an offer comes in I then can realize a value. For me to appraise hundreds of domains is not an easy job. And then to take all that time and effort only to sell one will be a loss. If someone would come to me with 100k plus id give easily double the names because it gets me close to what i need. If someone comes to me with 200$ or even 1000$ I can earn that by working late at my present job. So I really need something I can bite into.

I gotta say though I've had the opportunity to speak to many .ca legends/collectors over the phone over this and am pleased to say your all pretty cool sh*ts (gg grammar).

Kevin.

Thoughts - I have a ca domain that just started (all of a sudden) to get traffic to the tune of 90 visits and 16 clicks so far today.
Does this make sense?
The domain is backpacks.ca (if you visit please don't click on the ads).
Thanks,
Rob

It could be that it garnered itself front page results on a search engine for that keyword, but looking yours over it is not even listed in google, yahoo, or msn...

It's coming from somewhere!
