I say some screaming good names available this week.

Wondering what will end up happening price wise with. My minimal budget kept me out on these ones.

jog.ca
meat.ca - really I think food industry with this one!!!
feet.ca
antioxidant.ca - super potential

At sibername didn't it always add a minute or so with each last minute bid? Today it didn't if someone had a higher proxy bid. I placed a bid and time just ran out before I could really jump it up. Watched two slip away... oh well more money for development. :sigh2:

domainnameregistration.ca - $850?
classical.ca - $1080

Still got the ones I really really wanted.

Did the issues at pool work out?

I was in at some siber auctions and saw three minutes added if there was a last minute bid, so it seemed to work ok from what I saw.

It was an awesome tbr this week, but probably the result of someone losing their portfolio somehow.

Here are some results I saw.

heliski 2250
classical 1080
ontarionews 500
dsn 485
investmentguide 320
sqp.qc.ca 149
robins 140

I had a whack of pre-orders in at siber and managed to get only one outright - powderhound a skiing term

I was very interested in heliski and hoped it would fly under the radar, but so much for that. I think the ones I listed above were all good buys for whoever got them.

No time was added on the ones I was bidding on. I bid with about a minute and half remaining and it just continued to count down. That's my luck.

And does anyone know who lost their domains?

I picked up opals.ca for $815, and reproduction.ca for $130.

I saw typing.ca go for $2610, my computer crashed while I was bidding, it was un-freakin-believable, but I got the names I wanted anyway.

I can't believe this is the week pool had problems.

Their problems(pool) were a bonus for those of us who did the shotgun approach to backordering this week! :eek:k:

How does pool have problems???? do they not have a bunch of other smaller companies catching names for them? did they all go down ..something seems strange. and Aid.ca who got that? oh well I got a few great ones and save a ton of money by not getting into auctions...this week was a crazy week.

top100.ca went for $900
cycleworld.ca $210

:yo:

How does one "lose" their portfolio? (other than not renewing I mean)

Some great names were available - the best drop in months. Too bad Pool's system went down for the count and Namespro were upgrading their systems.

I hope we'll see more improvements in the drop system this year - either a newer/better service offered by one of the drop-catchers, or maybe CIRA will implement some rules or system changes to how it's done.

I ended up with 16 pretty happy pool crapped out. Some of them were:

musictours.ca
marketsolutions.ca
taxevasion.ca
hockeytournaments.ca
pageranks.ca

Namespro's system is back up but it looks pretty much like their old one...

I don't know if it was Mr. Ham, but it likely was a large # of domains that all belonged to the same person. We already got an offer on a 3-letter .CA that we picked up yesterday. We exchanged several emails and the person mentioned that all these domains below dropped and all belonged to one person. No real way to verify...

meat.ca
ratings.ca
meet.ca
feet.ca
aid.ca
earn.ca
reviews.ca
meals.ca
tests.ca
essay.ca
mdb.ca
supplement.ca
psu.ca
vcr.ca
organ.ca
jpg.ca
portfolios.ca

and many more...

They all belonged to Douglas Lange of vancouver before they dropped. I had a couple saved from previous whois searches in my contacts.
