but drop last only about an hour or so. If the domain you are looking for at drop is really specific to what you are doing, it might still be available. From experience, whatever remains after drop is a poor investment both for resale and development.

It's whatever someone didn't want and the rest ignored.

JP, look forward to seeing what domain you will auction - a huge keyword you say?

Absolutely

My timing however may not be worse, the economy is in the toilet but for some reason I feel the .ca is still strong to a large degree. It maintained steady growth therefore didnt have such a deflation to go through like .com etc.

There always seem to be buyers for premium keyword domains, and the domain market continues to hold up looking at the last dnjournal sales report. Country code domains are especially getting good press lately, and the online ad market is still growing. When the economy turns good domains will be in demand even more.

Has anyone noticed if TBR prices/competition are coming down in general lately? Surprised not to see too much competition for an LLL. This seemed to be a half-decent pronouncable which I thought would go for over $100 easy.

A few decent domains in the TBR today, but only three LLL.ca.

I missed backordering dnp.ca at Siber, and they ended up getting it (I missed it while scanning the list). Must be in auction now, anyone care to report?

So there is like no way to get MyID to answer a phone, unreal. Horrible service, they seem to be under a management umbrella.

Well pool.com does not offer a private auction after all. OK UPDATE myid called lol great guy, explained it all and I am happy with their format and policy. Maybe this Jan 09 :)

If anyone knows a big .ca buyer please PM me, it is a generic one word, market specific .ca worth at least $50K ish. Josh

I have cut way back on tbr spending. I grabbed two this week at regfee - and that's about all I'll go for unless I really really want one. This recession is going to last a long time so my money is going to development and outside of domain/website investment. I'm sure others are doing similar things to ride out this downturn. There surely will be some good buys in the tbr as time goes by so for those still spending they might make out really well down the road.

Is it just me or are there many more shell companies partaking in the tbr sessions? You have to love that you can grab tbr domains but not have to offer registration services of any type to do so...

True...we talked about this at length in other thread. The "legit" TBR companies do the same thing though...they create these shell companies to increase their chances...to be frank I do not like the system and think that CIRA should review the TBR process to make it more fair and transparent.
