Why should he be member of the year if he isnt even a member anymore? It just doesnt really make much sense. I mean, its not up to me... I think this should be taken a little more seriously then it is. We are looking for a member of the year... Maybe we should look at what we are looking for in a member... what qualities they should have etc.

But as neutral person I would say that if a member was so good to be nominated for so many times then let it be.....what if a member was dead instead?

The thread asked "best member of the year.....not best member who is still present, alive and unbanned".

Nothing is won. It will drive people to be better people, more helpful and considerate twords people in hopes that they will become 2007 member of the year. What would that tell us if Denny won? You dont need to be considerate, or respectful? You can do and say what you want, when you want? I dont know about that.

uhm....good point there...I did not vote for him and I honestly don`t remember much of him.

A good question would be: why did 18 people vote for him?

And maybe, vote all again basing our votes on more specificated criteria....I thought this was a fun thread, now it`s seem becoming an argument.....so I`m out, I voted and that`s my idea.

Forget Denny,

jaik was a great representation of what DNF is all about, and I would be honored to DONATE all of my votes to him in his memory. In fact, that's what I am gonna do if rockefeller allows it, they are mine so can donate them right? ...as you can see by his old postings and profile, he is STILL a member of DNF and thus a worthy recipient.

Vision, courage, dedication, effort. So on, and so forth. He was awesome and loved by everyone, surely the best member of 2006.

Rockefeller, it was your thread and it was a fun idea. You should have stuck to your original instincts instead of trying to make everyone happy. In any group setting there will be too much input. That's why they say a camel is a horse designed by committee. When Ashaw started a fund to upgrade a member to Exclusive, he got a lot of ideas about upgrading several members to Platinum, etc. I suggested he stick to his original idea. I suggest the same to you. Lesson for the future.

Sorry. If you feel that badly about Denny then hang out at his forum. How are we going to crown someone for DNF member of the year that was banned by the admins for infractions..infractions of all things...its only common sense.

I came close to nominating you yesterday evening because of this and what I thought of it, but I realized that was the only thing I knew about you. However, although I know absolutely nothing about any allegations about the member mentioned in this thread, I do appreciate some of your overall thoughts expressed here. Speaking just in general, too often people regard good as evil and evil as good, and that notion always needs to be challenged.
