I use two emails for domaining - my gmail for WhoIs contact (great spam filter) and one I don't publish for registrar contact etc. This way if I need a password reset it is sent to the unpublished one, not gmail (better security etc..).
Last night I renewed a bunch of domains at GoDaddy and as usual during the checkout process I changed the email address listed as the contact from the unpublished one to the gmail (which I always do with them) and even though I've never had an issue with this in the past - GoDaddy changed my registrar contact email address to the gmail one WITHOUT my permission.
Luckily I noticed it when I got a TDNAM list though my gmail and not the unpublished one so I went in and changed it back to the unpublished one.
IMO this is a bit of a security risk!
