The error is caused by the date being passed in to the web service being unparsable.

I suspect I know the problem - you're in Germany, right? I bet your localized system is rewriting m/d/y to d/m/y and my system is choking on it.

Can you run it again? The error will now show, in parenthesis, the date passed in. I suspect, for today, you'll be passing 14/5/2004 instead of 5/14/2004.

If this is the case, I believe I can fix it in the next build. But let's be sure.

Software fixed WHILE YOU WATCH! :)

Looking forward to the next build.

I'm looking forward to hearing what others think of it, actually. It's got quite a lot of changes based on feedback from users.

It can't hurt. You can email it to info *at* dropshark *dot* com and I'll take a look tonight.

I'm hoping to have this build out tonight. Here's a screenshot of the new UI, and a little teaser when you look at the bar panels. Not all of the functionality will be in this build (indeed, most of it will be in version 1.1, being released on July 4).

And a promotional reminder - if you purchase a license BEFORE the July 4 release, you get upgrades for the lifetime of the application, free. So if this whets your appetite...

What do you mean which program to use? As in it fails, and it's asking which debugger to bring up (a very silly thing for .NET to do)?

Can you screenshot the error and email it to info at dropshark dot com? I think I've found what's causing this on some people's systems, and am trying to get a fix in.

I have finally released build 1.0.616.1 - there was a huge electrical storm right over my house last night, so I shut everything down. Good timing, because we had some power acrobatics about 20 minutes later. Bright and loud!

This build has a completely new UI as well as a number of enhancements and, as you will see, some placeholders for features under development for the next version in July.

So the sales pitch is to remind you that if you purchase a license before the next version is released on July 4, you get upgrades for free for the lifetime of the application. Just sayin' ...

There is some new code to help identify the startup problem with some users, but not a lot. I've got associates at Microsoft working with me to identify what the problem might be.

There are also some feature requests that I've acknowledged but aren't yet in this build. Rest assured, I'm working on them!

Enjoy - and, as always, problems or feature requests, please let me know!

My pleasure, and I'm glad it's working for you. Since Melbourne ranks up there with Geneva on my favorite city list, you'd think I would have realized that you Australians wouldn't be on our same timezone :)

Build 1.0.620.1 should be done tomorrow evening (late Sunday night, which would be Monday for you, I think), with some new features that have been suggested.

HI Chris,

One question, why have you made it so that a user can only export 100 domains max at a time, why not have it unlimited export...

Also a delete all button would be nice....instead of only being able to delete 1 domain at a time in the selected domains section..

Also why not make it so when a domain is high lighted and a user presses the delete key it deletes the domain instead of having to do it via left mouse click.... have both options..

"My third edit of this post :)"

Also why not add export to clipboard and also in the 'Browse For Folder' window... a user can not select what harddrive they want to export the list to.... would be nice to be able to select where to export the file to..

Just ideas..

Thanks

Delete - oops. I didn't enable multi-select. My bad.

I'll fix that and add the delete key.

As for exporting, the reason is that someone could simply select the entire list, export it, and then post it. I'd like to avoid that.
