lol.. when i said "for entirely different reasons" those reasons were for him corruplty supplying a certain clan in the game with free upgrades and admin abilities.

as i also said the info in my post doesn't change the legality of the situation, by all means take him to court, dont take him to court.. whatever tickles yer fancy..

my post was to inform you guys as to why aquilo made money, why jeff didn't, and why aquilo suddenly decided to sell something that made him money (keyword: made-past tense). after he destroyed his credibility with his users they left and took their donations with them to Excalibur.

i'll reiterate again that the info i have provided is to explain more of the situation. not legal advise.

i'm not from excalibur, i'm from L2G (Lineage 2 Global). As i said i have quit playing the game for the reasons i stated above. My clan left L2G for ROFA for reasons i stated above. They moved to excalibur for reasons i stated above. Did anyone read my original post? I'm confident aquilo was making money because a number of my friends donated frequently and generously up until the "incedent" also mentioned above.

Regardless of he made money or not he obviously sold it when income dropped to $0. The bad news was the game server db got leaked and excalibur-l2 got their hands on it. Aquilo also ddosed the competing site. He put a cast a bad shadow on his own site ;-(

well my clanies and i donated to l2g via paypal.. i'm not sure how they donated to rofa. aquilo said in a previous post that rofa did not use paypal but that may be bs as well. but jeff is right.. i dont think that matters.. basicaly if aquilo sold a car to jeff, he forgot to include the engine..

He messed the damienstone name up so bad if you search on the forums I even put up the lineage server last night (since i have 3 weeks left on a game server)

Nobody is even interested in using it as they claim Damienstone and ROFA now have a bad rap. He was starting rofareborn so he could rip ppl off once again.

well even tho u were ripped off, you can still make a profit:

-make a new name of your choice for the server
-use a redirect to accomodate that name so no one knows it's realy the ex-rofa server
-put up a nice spiffy site and forum (or one of those 2 in one script thingies)

-at this point you would need to aquaint yourself with someone familiar with the upkeep of an l2server and recruit some GMs
-then post your server on that L2 Private server list thingy
-if you keep the original rofa settings the server should run great provided your hardware/connection can handle it

-once it's up and running post a sticky on your forum with donation rewards (ie this much $ for thsi much Adena (in game currency) or this much adena for this item. the people who advise you on the upkeep should be able to advise you of good rewards that will intise donations but not spoil the game too much.

-runing an L2 server with donation rewards is like being a drug dealer (they'll always be back for more). i can't emphasize enough the adictiveness of L2. you hear all those cracked out stories of people murdering eachother in asia cuz some d00sh stole a virtual weapon.. well games like this are at the heart of it

anyway good luck with the legal shiz and perhaps you may decide to put your glorious merchandise to use. really depends on your patience and how busy your other affairs are.

I already changed it to my info in the donations section - its already there........

once i get a few members to play and make money to cover expenses i'd have no problem getting the "$789 + 200 " = $1000 expenses covered....
