Looks like MountRobson went for $60 at Siber auction today..;)

Another one I lost to the infamous last minute bids at sibername w/no bids prior other than my own.

I would file a complaint with Cira. If your the only bidder at Sibername prior to the drop and they get that name, it should be yours. The only reason they registered the name was because you requested it. Is it OK for a registrar to auction my registration of "whatever dot ca" outside of TBR? Of course not. This is no different.

Same can be said of Pool as well...they try and grab a name you pay $60 to have them reg and if more than one person wants it, it is only yours if you win at the ensuing auction.....
They don't grab every name they can...only the one's I, or someone else ponies up the $60 for.....only to have it go to auction if more than me wants it..

Pool isn't a registrar. And is the client of the registrars involved.

CIRA has "0" jurisdiction over them.

Difference with pool vs sibername is that with pool you just can't walk into the auction without any bids placed. And they do award you the domain outright if there are no other bidders. A better system imo.

Anyway Roy I complained over mideast.ca and got an email back saying I'm right and they're going to make (unspecified) changes to fix it.

We'll have to see what happens.

terracerealestate .ca
camrosehomes .ca
swiftcurrenthomes .ca
sprucegrovehomes .ca
kootenayhomes .ca
pimpmyprofile .ca

also picked up: Rnet.ca

there are no LLLL.ca's available with 'net' or 'web' as the last three letters (Rnet was the last one). have to admit tho when you spell it in all small case, the 'r' blends in with the 'n'. rnet

Sleep-domaining... could be as dangerous as drunk-regging or sleepy-tbr bidding.
