Obviously no one should disclose how much they make. There is tons of people that make middle xxx.xxx,00 to x.xxx.xxx,00 per year on this forum.

Guys I don't know what's the problem with this thread.

It's simple.

First: For the most part I only buy names on this forum, never sell quality domains here because we are all resellers.
The most part of my domain sales are in the first months of the year before LLLL prices come down.
I've sold xx,xxx of LLLL.

Second: I've make several sales on Afternic/Sedo and make 4 enduser sales (xx,xxx)

I've sold 500+ xx/xxx domains to resellers.

I've a portfolio of traffic names/credit typos make me xx,xxx this year.
Plus I've 25 adsense sites earn xx,xxx this year.

So what's the problem?
I know some guys here make 40k each month with Adsense ONLY with ONE website ONLY.
We live in a secret society?
I THINK NOT.

Well done Carter on your success.

On my side, I have been in the game since April 2008 and have learnt some of ropes, enough to rake in low $xxx, xxx profit in these first 8 mths of domaining. Most have heard of a few of my sales: Ares.net, Explosion.com, Amatrice.com etc.

Just enjoying having fun and earning at the same time.

ive never had the money to buy a good domain, and any LLL.com's that get dropped go for stupid amounts at snap and pool

I'm quite new to domaining, haven't earned a single dime yet. However, as a blogger, and long-time affiliate manager, I've collected a small amount of registrar-level domain purchases.

I came to DNForum because recently, I received an unsolicited offer for one of my domains in the very low x'xxx range. It failed, the buyer changed his mind, but inspired me to look into the value of the rest of my ~30 name portfolio.

I hope to learn quite a bit here and, if possible, begin to make some extra $ to fund some of my business ideas. I look forward to getting to know all of you here, and hope to report back in a few years with some good earning numbers :)

agree!

sure i could see on occassion in chat maybe with old friends you might discuss averages and disclose some sales figures, but to start a thread and say i make this and that....then have to defend your statements is reason enough not to divulge such info.

in the end, who really cares how much you make...unless they ask?

and if they ask, is it any of their business?

imo...

Yeah...from your point of view you're right.

But I don't open this thread to "spot myself" I don't give a dime make me "big" and say I sell this, I sell that to make publicity to myself.

I don't sell more domains for open this thread.
I don't earn more money for open this thread.
I don't open this thread to prove nothing.
I know what I do.

The thread purpose was only "the 2008 is near to the end, with this crisis have you sold much domains this year guys?"
And I only share my personal experience and start it.

If peoples here have so much secrets, it's not my problem.

Next time we can talk about Obama again if it's sound better.

:s

I bet not even 5% here make 170k profit on "internetbiz"

PROFIT. If you buy Drunk.com for 60k, and sell it here for 65k than you made 5k profit only, not 65k

Give me a break. I'm willing to bet 10% at best bring in more than mid xx,xxx profit per year on this board. Sure you always hear about the big players but they are very few in reality.

Guys,

I thought that the OP asked to share (if you want to) what you have made this year. He did not ask you guys to do a complete analysis why, how, when he made the money.

Stay on the topic please.

Thanks,
John

Well you have domainers and you have people who play with domains. Those 2 groups are in the same forum, more than 90% play with domains the other 10% are domainers. A good domainer is someone that handreg a domain that makes x.xxx,00 xx.xxx,00 per year.
I don't consider adsense to be anything related to domaining . A domainer for me at least is someone that makes money with parking (for the majority).

I can easily see Carter or anyone with decent start-up funds making 170k in 2008. The first half was a decent gainer and the second has bared nicely with end user sales. I won't say how much I've made, but I've been very slow the past 2-3 months, barely having any time. Prior to that it was great, so most of my profit came in the first 6 months.

On a side note, the guy who I learned most from makes high xxx,xxx just from parking and end-user sales and he is not even a member of the forum.

170k is very little money these days and you can make that in domaining with a few dozen nice sales.

Good job Carter! :D

Despite being guilty of it myself from time to time, I said it on another thread and I'll say it again: Loose lips, sink ships!

I don't mind telling you that I won a scratch off last week, but certainly not how much I'm making off a business segment.

Congrats to Carter though! That's bad a$$!

How much did I make from domains this year? About the same as last year ... and hopefully less than next year. ;)
