$1100 with 12 bids. third hour. when will people learn that on
a 3 day domain auction you wait until the last possible minute
to bid your absolute highest price.

NW bid was $3000 and it came in the last 4 minutes.

At this rate the domain will go fo significantly more than if
NW caught it, and for no good reason.

:-(

I dont understand what morons are bidding right now... Do they understand how to get stuff CHEAPER on an auction.

My only explamation is maybe it pool inside bidding or BD/Ult who dont have to pay 100% of thier bid, although i think bd/ult owuld wait..

that's what i figured, inside bidding, but honestly, it's more likely
that it's just some stupid newbies thinking they've got the
name "locked". hahaha :eek:k:

OR perhaps someone who realizes the name will go for a hell of a lot higher and wants to see their competitors use up their money on a name that they can't afford or don't want.

just my 2 cents.

I was the one who gave the first shot ($950), I didn't expect I would actually get this one even when I backordered it, for I believe the final bid would be over $2500, so what's the difference? I was only getting a free ticket to watch the inside show.

the difference is your unnecessary "initial shot" put the name at
$950. all the other newbies bid from there on, not from $60.

so now, for no good reason at all, three days before the auction
was over you increased the minimum bid price several times
over.

the SMART way to do this would be to bid your $950 (or absolute
maximum) at the last possible moment.

now, not only have you increased the price for yourself (and made
it not "affordable" for you), but you've added at least $1k to the
final bid price.

sure you don't care, since you're not gonna get it anyways. screw
everyone else. right?

less bidding, more thinking. take some tips from the guys on
this forum.

Last time I checked it was a GOOD thing if say BuyDomains had to shell out an extra $1,000 for a name....heck maybe that $1,000 keeps someone from out bidding you next time.

great thinking there. if i don't get it, (or can't afford it), then
screw everyone else who CAN or wants to get it.

you've got no idea what you're talking about since you're not
bidding on the domain. if you WERE bidding on it, you'd know
why the $1k here and $1k there makes a difference.

if BD really wants it, they'll take it at any price. some stupid
$4k or $1k bid wont stop them. that type of money is pocket
change for the whale.

I guess bidder 5516 really wants it! it's at $1250 right now.

Maybe I'll offer it to he/she after I win it tomorrow!

if it goes to 5 figures i'm not bidding on it. i'd prefer to get a
few decent traffic names for that money.

still a nice name to have in portfolio at (almost) any cost.

Yeah, I was kidding. If it goes to 5 figures it will only be if BD is bidding against Ult and then it might be a pride thing.

Seems like you was whining about snapcheck.com and pool.com saying their exposure increases competition, now you say you aren't competing ? Can't get your point as it changes every other day...

ahh. yet another quality post by yakov.

once again, you don't understand my posts. perhaps you should
stay in school a little longer and learn a bit more English.

every time i post something you jump in and make a stupid
reply, and then 4 posts later, after i explain in baby terms what
i'm saying, you finally understand what my original post was about.

read my POSTS 10 times next time before you hit the reply button
as it seems you don't understand a word of what i'm writing.
