$6100 is a fair reseller price for this name.

i didn't get it. $6k was a bit more than i wanted to spend on
that one. his proxy was $7500.

worth it? sure, but not for me since i have no plans on developing
it anytime soon.

Exactly that's why I didn't even bid. I have too many projects going on but if a name like this came along and I could get it cheap I would.

My idea of cheap for Safe.net would be in the 3-4K range. $4500 was my ceiling and it reached that pretty quick.

Like I said it was a "fair" reseller price.

I am really tired of all this bitching about buydomains.

Ok, yes maybe a few of you here had ideas to develop a company/site behind the domain name safe.net.

But the majority of people here, when they get a hold of a super name, will hold on to it for a long time and may build a half ass site behind the name.

I don't believe anyone was bitching and you know what--It is a shame that they picked up the name. I would MUCH rather see a small business pick up the name and build a successful business rather than buydomains pick it up.

Yes I would rather see a small or even large biz pick it up.

I am saying, I believe alot of the people (not focusing one anyone person) who are bitching about buydomains, are the same ones who would hold a great domain for a long time, waiting for the right offer.

like I said, they may build a small site around it, but it wouldnt go to full use.

I am not saying I wouldnt "waste" an awsome domain either, but i have no problem with buydomains getting alot of the good names. But I dont compain about BD.

If they wanna bid that high, then they deserve the name.

That is pretty chickenshite.

I merely point out that somebody is nosey and then his post gets deleted and I get a public admonishment?

Gee... I wonder WHO it was that did this....

Face it guys, all it takes is plenty of $$ and a lot of good luck (to save us some $$).

People used to complain about the 'crazy' bids at NW, but now you'd better pray you are the craziest one there and that NW will get the names.
