I got a cellphone from bellmobility a few years ago. the phone didnt work for a month, and when i did they started me up with a 310 number. which was a long distance call to use.. i complained quick and got a new number.. they charged me 25$ for the new number and meanwhile this was a new phone. They also added some html access to my phone. the button activated by light touch and in turn cost me alot over a month (accidental online). I asked them after getting my first bill to turn off the online access.. didnt need it, didnt want it on some little phone. They wouldnt turn it off and told me im stuck with it for two years. I of course told them to send me the bill owed and cut me off.. im not touching bellcanada again. Getting to the point. Total Credit Recovery in Toronto harrassed me for over a year to collect a two year contract. I refuse to pay even risking my top credit. I spent hours on the phone with these jokers trying to tell them i never received the service i asked or and i was of course in the right asking to get off the plan. took two months to get it working right for starters. Anyhow, i regged totalcreditrecovery.ca and their .com site in .ca totalcrediting.ca and totalcredit.ca .. turned out to be a sweet set of names. natural typin, nice ctr and nice clicks. I hope someday they ask to buy it. I know these idiots by first name basis now.

Those three are my fav hand reg's in .ca

I have had nice success with these that I got at a bit above reg fee when they dropped:

ArtsAtlantic.ca
ParGolf.ca
SignPlace.ca

and I think my best hand regs in the last little while are

NurseryRhymes.ca
Zane.ca

So I just hand regged another dictionary .ca name a few minutes ago... OVT is not so high, just over 1000, and Google search results are 8,750,000...

But, the .com is used for a pretty high profile site... There may be TM issues at some point but it is a dictionary word... I am parking it for now and I set the keywords to reflect the actual meaning, not what is used by the .com site so we shall see what happens...

NurseryRhymes .ca would make a decent site that I'm sure would reap return visitors if it was kept true to the name and consistent.

Good one.

Thanks... as a matter of fact I was just working on that this afternoon

I have a lot on the go right now and I have so many .cas that need to be developed... I really hope to have that one up and running in a few weeks...

I opened a few new .ca sites the last week. The names are pretty key so im doing a test over the year. without real marketing I wanna see how little i need to advertise or worry about all the SE rules. I think your name is one of those names that doesnt need seo or marketing. Make it a quality site that people expect when they arrive. Give it a year and dont be discouraged if you see little traffic in a month or two either.

Kevin

crap, pressed the buttons a millisecond late :)

oh well.. more money for my .com/net for the week.

some decent names in the TBR today - nothing awesome but some decent quality generics, brandables, three letters - glacier, northface, dea, etc.

my top choices today:

kick.ca
northface.ca
glacier.ca
shooters.ca
dea.ca

in that order

Second choices id grab without trying hard:

pronounce.ca
lyricspage.ca
salesmarketing.ca
pumphouse.bc.ca
musicland.on.ca
musicbook.ca
eprice.ca
aae.ca
cancelled.ca
unitednations.ca
personalize.ca

In that order sorta. They're all bottom rung so order holds little regard.

I did no pool orders - nothing worth paying that much for me. I like what i can make into websites easily and if they have decent OVT, backlinks, pr etc all the better.

For that I like:
websitedirectory.ca
companysearch.ca
baitcar.ca
proletariat.ca
charityfundraiser.ca
onlinepublishing.ca
privacycommissioner.ca
sorbitol.ca
dea.ca

If I come away with any of those I will be happy enough.

I dindt use pool either (only once in almost two years).. as far as ive seen the prices paid there are about triple reseller value, if your lucky. I try to use the smaller guys. I can get a bad-ass name for 20-100$ with traffic/rev or very nice keywords. I've done all the tbr auctions i had access to over quite some time, and the two places lately that you will pay insane prices at are pool and sibername. I do my part not to use either of them. I suggest more of you make the effort. So you miss one here and there, another comes around especially in the sales threads here.

Next week dont waste your time with the three lyrics domains. I dropped them, they had absolutely no action... nothing. (heads up)

Anybody notice next weeks list has absolutely nothing in it ?

Sibername never posted last week's rundown. Is there anywhere else to see it?

Anybody notice next weeks list has absolutely nothing in it ?

So far it's looking that way.

i haven't started buying. ca yet but i wish there were a cheaper alternative to pool/snapnames. it seems that they get the names 95% of the time. i saw kd.ca dropping a few weeks back, i wonder who got that and what for. would of made an excellent domain to sell to kraft for kraft dinner, hehe.

snapnames doesnt do .ca (I see i typoed that)

Sibername does, they are successful for people who bid high on a consistent level. So if you just have to have a name and are willing to pay more than others will consider, then they are good.

Pool will fight hard for names with alot of bidder interest too, but again to win the good ones you will pay alot for it. I personally like to make profit with or without parking revenue so i opt out of using either.

You can contact any of your favorite registrars and ask them their method of activity in tbr. Each registrar has their own system.

Sibername did well today - for me anyways. Walked away with six total - two are so-so but at $15 no big deal.

EDIT - checking to see who got what from those I wanted I noticed one was not snatched - so at reg fee I got one on my list above. And to think I put higher $ back orders on it... easy website in a few hours.

Another edit - did anyone here get dickhead.ca last week? It is still showing the standard pool reg info. Contact me if its yours - I would like to make a trade if possible.

looks like Sibername with KICK .Ca and Pool with GLACIER . ca were the winners today. Well and there were the odd 3 chars and so on.. but I thought these two as the day's best. Anyone went for them?? Also, looks like Pool was not as busy as last week.. yes, I can't see any GEMS for next week yet, although I have for next week, which I would love to get. I will post it after I get it.
