Hey

A recent hand reg I obtained is twot.ca

Now before you start giggling, here is what an acronym search turned up.

Total waste of time?
The war on terrorism?
Theoligical word book of the old testament??

I then went to the urban dictionary and it had a complete different meaning ;)

Kinda like the top one, could make a great blog?

It appears the "A" version holds some history!!

1656, of unknown origin. A general term of abuse since 1920s.
The T-word occupies a special niche in literary history, however, thanks to a horrible mistake by Robert Browning, who included it in 'Pippa Passes' (1841) without knowing its true meaning. 'The owls and bats,/Cowls and twats,/Monks and nuns,/In a cloister's moods.' Poor Robert! He had been misled into thinking the word meant 'hat' by its appearance in 'Vanity of Vanities,' a poem of 1660, containing the treacherous lines: 'They'd talk't of his having a Cardinalls Hat,/They'd send him as soon an Old Nuns Twat.' (There is a lesson here about not using words unless one is very sure of their meaning.) [Hugh Rawson, "Wicked Words," 1989]

That is a very good definition & origin of the word >seems that there are tons of stories on this word.

One I found is that using the "o" is the Australian version of using the "A"

But I kinda like this one also

History of TWOT

TWOT is a very old organization which was started by

Dr Osaka Twot, founder and leader of Time Wasters Inc.

TWOT was first started in the year 1998.(Old huh??)

Since then, the organization has been distributing leaflets

explaining why time should be wasted. That method failed.

So he decided to sell all his assets, which totalled up to

$27.95, and retire to an island(Pulau Ubin) and live the rest of his

life in luxury, until his $27.95 runs out.

my latest hand reg was matcher .ca

google has 9 million results for this word, and seems like there are a lot of applications for matcher - recipe matcher, bird song matcher, math matcher, word matcher, etc. as well as social applications

Were those two just sitting there? Nice catch. Great for development. Though I suspect neither pays huge per click, but still nice niche names.

I haven't been fresh regging .ca's as much. Too busy buying up .info domains for development - a certain search engine loves the silly things. :) That and it's getting oh so much harder to find anything with high ovt/word tracker anymore.

Good luck to all in the drop tomorrow.

Good luck to all in the drop tomorrow.

The quality of the mining and the drops has deteriorated drastically just over the 18 months. And the prices are getting astronomical for "junk" even.

Are there any?? I saw alot of NNN and NNNN on the list.. but would they be of any worth.. and if so when?? How many years??

Couldn't hurt to invest in a few. I'd try to pick numbers with some relevance. eg 327 = 327 engine, plane or some connection with the physical world. Other than that I would aim for the lowest numbers possible. Even numbers (100, 200, 300) would also be prefered.

Overall though todays drop is one of the poorest I've seen in a long time.

Well 327 is in my possession - it gets traffic for just what you mentioned. Some NNN's have their uses - I've developed a few now. Some don't do so hot parked.

And I'm surprised to see the bids being placed on some of the domains today. Already 11 $200 bids on Sibername - somebody sees something I don't in most of those... so either I'm still too new, or like you said - it's getting to the point where everything good is gone, and what's not, will soon be.

$1250 for goth.ca? Somebody sure wants it.

Thanks for the thoughts DropWizard.. I was too late to make a decision and didn't know which ones I should go.. so left it at that.. let's see, which ones were the hot ones today. Thanks again.

Back at DNF or in the TBR game?? If it is the former..welcome.. but if it's the later, I don't think so..
