It looks like it has been registered since 2000 - with nothing much done to it. you would think a buyer would have come along in that time?

Canada goose makes more sense and more to the point.

Anyone see their sibername tbr account updated yet for the domains you won? They are taking their sweet time today.

Ok, here's a question:

Would you trade all your .ca names for the equivalent in .net names?
(like trading greenhouse.ca for greenhouse.net, for example)

on a global scale it might make sense, but .ca is used way more in Canada than .net

What would you do?

I know someone is going to say yes :)

For me it's a hard question, but I know I own many .ca where the .net is still available - mostly french names.

thinkcash.ca

reported sold at Sedo for $4800 US

totally brandable name, can't imagine it gets natural traffic.

Well it appears to be a poorly designed/coded website already. Very poor related keywords for what they are using it for as well. Lots of backlinks, but $4800? Better related domains have been on offer here for a tenth of that and haven't sold.

The .com is a small website that appears to be pretty much unknown so it's not riding their coattails.

I don't get it.

Well, they are not million dollar names but I did hand register autorepairshops.ca, stretches.ca and strengthtraining.ca. Will eventually turn them into sites.

I got shut out today. Couldn't time those last second prebids worth a snot this morning.

And you got to love Sibername sending outbid notices five minutes after the close. :)

Yeah, i was just checking out tbr results and as usual the domain i was going for wasn't picked up by sibername. Though i would of loved to get hydroponics.ca, i didn't even know it was dropping. I wish sibername still showed which domains were being bid on like they used to.

Hi
Reading the Vancouver Sun Today, I came upon an article regarding the city of Vancouver is applying to the provincial Government to be named "metropolitanvancouver/metrovancouver" They have been using "GVRD" or "lowermainland" Of course after reading this I looked up metrovancouver.ca. owned by a free newspaper with the same name, >com and the rest are taken.

I hand regged metropolitanvancouver.ca

A question. are these city names like this copyrighted? The name metrovancouver is a newspaper. Wonder what the area will do to get this?
Oh well, Reg did not cost much, perhaps it could earn a few bucks. just will have to wait & see.

The article did mention that there could be confusion when people say why did they pick the name of a newspaper? The regions first marketing challenge may be trying to knock the paper from its top spot on Google search. While the GVRD's website is the top link for Greater vancouver, the paper for now at least comes out in top in a search for "metrovancouver"

Long name eh!
