For sure, however knowing what I know I would never pay for PPC traffic, and yes as an advertiser I would expect a return.. but in this conversation I am a domainer. :)

The click doesn't necessarily have to convert right away imho...you're still bringing people to the advertiser's website so they become aware of it. Then they could come back and actually buy or sign up or whatever.
...
BTW, my TQ score is 10!!! :D :eek:k:

Donny. So you were talking about conversions, not clicks? If our account has 100 conversions (on the advertisers websites) we get a TQ rating? Is the TQ rating based upon the number of conversions? ie 100 conversions/month=TQrating 1, 1000 conversions/month=TQrating 10? (conversions divided by 2 since it's a 2 week cycle).

Still trying to understand how this TQ Rating is calculated per account.

They DO look at clicks. However, they do NOT look at the Click Through Rate (CTR). You need to have 100 Clicks per day to get a rating.

So why did Donny go off on a tangent about conversions in his last explanation?

stu - I thought that was what you were looking for on my last post. To extend my last post a little.

So if you have 10 conversions and only 100 clicks what would your score be? I have no idea! But basically if you have a 10 you did as well or better than Yahoo.com for that same traffic. Obviously by numbers are a little extreme, but it's just an example. For all I know 1 conversion in 100 clicks is a 10 or maybe even 1 in 10000. It's just still too early to know exactly what the numbers are.

Donny. I think I'm getting closer to understanding how it's calculated. Can I paraphrase? Our TQ Rating is calculated by the ratio of conversions to paid clicks. We don't know what ratio gives an account a specific TQ Rating. We also don't know what factor of 10 (assuming a 10 represents 100% payout) a 1-9 TQ Rating is applied to our earnings. The TQ Rating is recalculated every 2 weeks. Is that understanding correct? Was the 100 paid clicks/day before you get a TQ Rating fact or just another example?

I recall somewhere that you said you could help accounts with a low TQ Rating, to improve their TQ Rating. Is my memory fading? How do you plan to do that?

stu - You are correct or at least as much as I understand it. The 100 click per day example I had was based on the first scores we got in, it seemed to me that everybody who had 100 clicks per day had a score.

There a few ways that we are testing with people to help improve their over score. In some cases it might be changing the keyword, in some cases if 1 domain is generating most of the revenue and it's going to 1 click, we try it for a few weeks on 2 click and see what happens. There are a few more, but they are pretty high level on our end, that nobody would understand. :)

so that means that anything other than highly targeted traffic will score badly

Actually that is not true. There are many targetted and untargetted domains that get high scores. So far most of the really low scores I have seen are when there is risky/low quality traffic. High scores on the other hand are completely random. You don't have to have generic domains to get a good score.
